Do you take a commission?

How do I install Bike Rental Manager?

Bike Rental Manager lives online in “the Cloud”, and it is available wherever you are. There is no software to install or maintain or license. This means that we host the software. You get automated updates and a high-speed, high-availability network. BRM offers integrations for payment, marketing and social media to make running your rental business as efficient as possible.

Do you charge by user?

Can I take payment with Bike Rental Manager?

Yes, you can choose to take payments in your shop or take deposit at the time of the booking. For online bookings, we integrate with Stripe. Once set up, your customers can pay at the time of booking, either in part or full.

I don't need payment processing. Can I still use Bike Rental Manager?

Yes. Without a payment processing you can take payment in your shop.

How do you define an item in your pricing?

BRM will track all the items that are in the system. For example, you have got Trek 5.2 in sizes 1xS, 2xM, 3xL, 1xXL. Each size is counted as an item, therefore you would have 7 items of Trek 5.2. You can also add other valuable items in the system that you wish to track, like GPS. We recommend you put babyseats, helmets, pedals etc. as “extras/add ons” and they will not count towards your number of items. This way customers will be able to add them to their cart when they book online but you are not charged for them as items in BRM inventory.

Adding all sizes as part of your inventory will enable BRM online booking to know how many bikes you have available on each day when it calculates the LIVE availability online. This means you don’t need to allocate your bike manually for online bookings, if you choose automatic allocation.

If I choose to leave, what happens to my data?

You own your data. You can export all of your data at any time in csv format. If you choose to close your BRM shop we keep your data for 30 days.

Which browsers work with Bike Rental Manager?

Because it’s running in the cloud and not on your computer, it works on any device as long as it’s using a modern browser. We recommend Google Chrome but BRM works with any browser.

How much does Bike Rental Manager cost?

You pay a fixed price based on your inventory size in BRM. No commission or surprise fees. We ask you to pay the fee on yearly basis. There are no long-term contracts and you can cancel any time. Check our pricing plans for more information.

Do you offer training and support?

We pride ourselves on excellent customer support and all the plans come with 24/7 email support, phone support and extensive self-service help section. You have a choice of one-to-one training and/or online training. Online training is especially useful to train the rest of your staff. You will have 24/7 access to it and you can choose the pace.

How should I deal with bike rental insurance against theft and damage?

The best and easiest way for you is to have in your Terms & Conditions that your customers are responsible for theft and damage. As BRM tracks your bikes for you, you know exactly who has got which bike so you can charge the right customer. You should collect their credit card details before you hand the bike out so you know which card to charge. By using Stripe credit card vault, you can store card details without any additional cost to you.

Does Bike Rental Manager online booking work on mobile phones?

Yes, the online booking is fully mobile responsive and resizes the screen to fit tablets and mobile phones.

Can the BRM online booking look like my existing website?

You can easily add the booking button on your Facebook page. Instructions are here. There is no extra cost.

How long will it take to add the online booking to my website?

Setup is simple and the system can be up and running in a couple of hours. You can choose to do most of the work yourself or you can let the BRM team do all the work for you, choice is yours.

What happens if my internet goes down?

An outage can be problematic. But if you have mobile/cellular access or a tablet, you can access your bookings with your mobile network. We also email you every night your next days rentals.

Where is the service hosted?

We pick a server location that operates closest to your business. This allows us to provide you with the most reliable service possible. BRM has servers in the US and UK.
